Why do you need Polar Encrypt?
Polar Encrypt is an application that solves the most common problems of data manipulation: security and size.
Talking about a security, let us take an example:
Even a machine a billion times as fast as one of today’s most advanced brute-force attack machines, which computes 90 billion keys per second, would take approximately 298 thousand-billion (298 trillion) years to try all the keys and recover the plain text encrypted by the AES algorithm used in Polar Encrypt.
Polar Encrypt reduces the size of your files using standard ZIP compression algorithm.
What can it do?
- Compress, encrypt and archive entire directory structures into an encrypted archive, and then to uncompress and decrypt the same.
- To compress, encrypt and encode either RTF or ASCII text with a password (it supports copying/pasting text to/from any external application)
- Create Self-Decrypting-Extracting (EXE) zip archives, which can be decrypted by simply opening the file and entering the appropriate password. The EXE file can be opened and decrypted on computers that do not have Polar Encrypt installed on them, as long as the user knows the correct password!
- To password protect files and data stored on a hard disk, removable medias, CD ROMs, floppies and network disks and thus enables you to keep your private data safe.
- To protect data sent across security-vulnerable communications infrastructures such as e-mail messages and e-mail attachments
- To reduce the size of data sent through e-mail since both files and data are first compressed and then encrypted
- To backup sensitive information.
